Don Hilson, Senior Technical Director – Ride Engineering, Walt Disney Imagineering
Don Hilsen currently leads the Ride Engineering Teams assigned to the Tokyo Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure portfolios, bringing more than 39 years of Imagineering experience to this position. Don is responsible for the technical, schedule and budgetary performance of all new rides in these parks and partners with Ride suppliers worldwide.
Don started his Disney career in 1973 after graduating with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. Don has traveled extensively in his career managing ride design, delivery, integration and testing – in North America, Europe and Asia. Don partnered with The Oriental Land Company in the development of the Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Seas Theme Parks. In addition, Don was responsible for all 11 opening day rides at Hong Kong Disneyland and the 13 rides at Disney’s California Adventure.
Tracy Wilson, Software Engineer – Ride Engineering, Walt Disney Imagineering
Tracy graduated from the University of Southern California in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering/Computer Science. She began working for Disney as a Ride Software Engineer immediately after graduating. Her role as a Ride Software Engineer involves designing, implementing, and field testing the software for new rides across the Disney parks.
In her first 5 years with Disney, Tracy has been involved in several new attractions. Within her first year, she helped to complete the Toy Story Midway Mania! attractions in both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney California Adventure. Most recently, she was part of the opening team for the Radiator Springs Racers attraction, located in the Cars Land expansion of Disney California Adventure. Currently, Tracy is leading the software effort for one of the many new rides that will be going into the Shanghai Disneyland park.
